Five For Friday: Bye-Bye February

It's the last Friday of February so I'd decide to do a Five for Friday with questions that will talk about the month and what I look forward to in the next.

 1. Favorite moment from the month.

Attending the Elevation concert in Hershey with my son last Tuesday.  It was so spirit-filled and a great opportunity to get my son around like-minded believers and an escape from what he's been facing in school.

2.  A challenging moment from the month.

Helping my son navigate through some of the things that have been going on in school.  There's a group of kids who have been spreading rumors about him.  Even though he shows kindness in return, I know it's been weighing on his heart.  It elevates my regret of sending them to public school.

3.  Something God taught me this month.

In these circumstances, God reminds me that He is in control and will lead where He wants us to go.  In my son's situation at school I can hear the Holy Spirit tell me that He is allowing this to help him for what He has planned in the future.  I'm trusting that.

4.  One thing I love about February.

I love that it is a short month with Valentines Day thrown in the middle.

5.  What do I look forward to in March.

Hopefully some warmer weather and sunshine as we get closer to welcoming Spring!

  1. I'm with you on looking forward to some warmer weather. March can be so fickle (weather-wise) but hoping for more signs of spring. Praying that your son's last few months of school can be quieter and calmer. I know it is hard for your mama's heart but, as you said, God has a purpose and a plan. We can trust Him. Hang in there -

  2. Hello, my friend. Prayers for your son and the issues he is facing. He is blessed to have a mama who gets it. The easy thing would be to fight back, but God doesn't give us crosses so we can take the easy way out. Your knowledge that God is somehow preparing him for the future is so true, not that it makes it any better. Our hearts hurt when our children hurt, but you are doing all the right things. Hugs! And Happy March!

  3. The concert with your son sounds like such a meaningful night together. I’m sorry he’s facing challenges at school, but the kindness he’s showing says so much about his character. Praying March brings lighter days, warmer weather, and encouragement for your family.

  4. I love this idea so much 🤍 “Bye-Bye February” feels like the perfect way to close out the month. There’s something so reflective and refreshing about pausing on the last Friday to look back and then gently turn your heart toward what’s ahead.

A Five for Friday with month-end questions is such a thoughtful touch — it invites conversation and makes everyone slow down and really notice the season they’ve just lived through. I can’t wait to read your reflections and see what you’re looking forward to next. March energy loading… 🌷✨
