Twos-Day

I love how many are taking the time to celebrate today.  In a world filled with so much craziness, chaos, and uncertainty it's nice to step away for awhile and find something to be joyful about.

Today my daughter and her best friend dressed like twins to commemorate the day.  Unfortunately, I had no chance to snap a picture of them.

So, enjoy your Twos-Day, my friends.  Take a moment and just have fun with it.  We made it a taco Tuesday for dinner.

February Updating

Hello there ... it's me, Dawn!

I feel like it's been a long time since I logged onto this place.  I have so much blog reading to catch up on and even doing a little update of my own.  What's been going on?  The usual work, coming home to put whatever energy I have left into keeping up with the home, taking care of the kids and trying to figure out why I keep getting this awful headache.

Today there is no school for an in-service day which means I don't have to work.  Since my husband's car is in the shop I woke up early and drove him to work.  Soon we will pick him up and then the boys will go off to guitar lessons and me and the girl might find something to do.

It's hard to believe we are heading towards the end of February.  My dad is going in for prostate surgery this Wednesday so I'd love if you could keep him in prayer.  He's been wearing a catheter and Foley bag for awhile since he can't go on his own.  Hopefully the surgery will fix that problem.  My father-in-law finished radiation for his prostate cancer.  It's no fun getting old, it seems.

A little recap, the groundhog saw his shadow and predicted 6 more weeks of winter.  It's been crazy weather here in southern Pennsylvania.  Warm, cold, warm, windy, snow, warm, cold.  Make up your mind!  I'd actually love a great big snow storm.  We haven't had one of those in a while.  Wow, where did that come from?  I hate the cold and snow.  Oh, well.  Maybe I'm craving something normal.

Valentines came and went and I didn't have the motivation to decorate but I did make sure to buy those special gifts for all 3 of my Valentines.  Oh, and Murphy too.

So, that's about it.  Nothing too exciting.  Just getting through the days fighting seasonal depression.
